Awesome tape, one with a good necro sound and a fine early example of post-Bathory black metal, albeit with death metal vocals.  Rotting Christ established right away that they were able to write varied sets of songs with sensible use of tempo and atmosphere, and a good dynamic sense of killer riffage.  "Feast of the Grand Whore" is a black/doom destroyer, a style still rarely touched upon today, while "The Nereid of Esgalduin" is a Bathory-esque cryptic slayer.  The other songs, still good.  There's a reason this was re-issued twice.
