Gorgoroth - Antichrist [Remastered]

In my opinion, "Antichrist" is quite an obscure Gorgoroth record. It has the capacity to maintain the ever grim bleakness and obscurity that is trademark of Gorgoroth's method of destruction but at 25 minutes, there isn't enough time to generate material comparable to that of their much hailed "Under the sign if Hell" album. As for the music on "Antichrist", Infernus' riffing is clearly the result of demonic possession. The vocals are divided amongst two unholy maniacs, Pest & Hat. Pest is the superior vocalist if your measuring stick is ouright insanity. On the drums, or "wooden coffins" as Gorgoroth would explain, is the superstar Frost of SATYRICON. Although, his performance is only average & repetitive in comparison to his highly technical drumming with SATYRICON. In conclusion, Gorgoroth values black metal expression in its orignal and savagely caustic form as their method of portraying the evil aesthetic. This album is more gauged to the eccentric Gorgoroth fan & collector.
